Injured Marines Funding Boost

A group of armed forces personnel in Plymouth with long-term illnesses and injuries has been presented with funds by professional women. Hasler Company has been presented with £1,800 by South West Women In Construction (SWWIC), who all work in disciplines in the building industry, at a ceremony in HM Naval Base, Devonport.

Triple amputee and former Royal Marine, Mark Ormrod, has teamed up with The Royal Marines Association to produce the first British calendar featuring injured servicemen.

See the Dockyard. Free Tours of Devonport Naval Base

The public are being offered free tours of the Naval Base including the option of a visit to an operational warship, nuclear submarine or the historic sites in the Base. The tour programme is being supported by DML. Tours for approximately 40 members of the public will operate twice a day on 4 days a week.
