MoD News. MoD Police welcome new four-legged recruits.

They are only a few inches long, can only crawl and their eyes remain tightly closed – but these are the future for the Ministry of Defence Police. The 12 Belgium Shepherd puppies, born on Saturday, are the first ever MoD police dog service recruits to be born to the unit in HM Naval Base Devonport.

The public are being offered free tours of the Naval Base including the option of a visit to an operational warship, nuclear submarine or the historic sites in the Base. The tour programme is being supported by DML. Tours for approximately 40 members of the public will operate twice a day on 4 days a week.
