Some of my very first dives in Guernsey inspired the painting 'Cuttlefish Gully' and I well remember stroking the flat fish in this picture. Tropical reef paintings need more research and countless holidays (that's my excuse!). Mike and I have dived worldwide with our underwater cameras, collecting material for our paintings. Locations such as the Maldives, Borneo, Australia, United Arab Emirates, the Red Sea and Cuba have been a fantastic adventure and constant inspiration for us. We hope to visit the Galapagos and southern Indonesia next year. I paint on our 32ft trawler yacht which we live on. Mike, being a marine biologist, will check the detail in our work and can be the harshest of critics!
