				      <description>&lt;p&gt;The Band of Her Majesty&#39;s Royal Marines Plymouth perform the annual charity concert in aid of the leading maritime charity, Seafarers UK.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;strong&gt;What is Seafarers UK&#63;&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Seafarers UK, formely known as King George&#39;s Fund for Sailors, is the UK&#39;s leading maritime charity, supporting the Royal Navy and Royal Marines, the Merchant Navy and Britain&#39;s Fishing Fleets.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Seafarers UK operates as an umbrella charity, raising money given as grants to charities in the maritime sector as above. In 2008 grants distributed amounted to &pound;2.5m and in 2009, thanks to our loyal supporters, Seafarers UK was able to distribute &pound;2.6m in grants, fifty per cent of which went to Royal Naval and Royal Marines charities.
