Since opening in 2004 Stephen Barrett @ Bistro One has succeeded in creating a true modern bistro specialising in local produce and award-winning wines from individual growers.

In wishing to "keep it simple" Stephen has brought together a team of young enthusiastic members of staff who are more than happy to explain the dishes created for the daily changing blackboard menu. Best described as Modern Bistro Cuisine, Stephen has judiciously followed the seasons by creating dishes of excellence with a Westcountry twist. For every good menu an excellent wine list is also a must and here is no exception with a carefully selected range of cult classic wines from individual vineyards around the world. Event play a very important role @ Bistro One with WineMakers Suppers, Art Exhibitions, Charity Fund Raising events and Poetry for Supper featuring speakers from the Peterloo Poets stable.

Situated in the Victorian trading thoroughfare, Ebrington Street 'tis only a stone's throw from Sutton Harbour, Plymouth University and the new Plymouth City Centre. Car Parking can be arranged by prior notice and reservations are requested by telephone.

Do join us for a splendid evening of intimate vocal Jazz with the incomparable Louise Parker. In the past year Louise, a regular at Bistro One, has, as an artist soared to heights never before reached by any Westcountry jazz singer. Her credits include splendid commendations by the late Humphrey Littelton, plus rave performances, two cd's and a very full event diary.
