Pirate FM - The Big Gig

Fifteen pop acts & over 10,000 fans will be descending on Plymouth Hoe on Sunday August 14 th for the return of Pirate FM's summer pop concert, THE BIG GIG. Tickets go on sale from Monday 23 rd May and Daniel Bedingfield & Noise Next Door are the first acts to be announced on THE BIG GIG line-up.

The 2004 pop concert saw Pirate FM bring stars Girls Aloud, Rachel Stevens, Blazin Squad, Mark Owen & Darius to the stage and 2005 is set to be even bigger and better.

Pirate FM Station Manager, Beverley Warne commented: "We are thrilled to be able to continue the success of last year's concert. We had great feedback from our listeners and we are determined that THE BIG GIG will be even more impressive than last year'.

Councillor Smith from Plymouth Council said: "We are happy to give our support to THE BIG GIG. Pirate FM are bringing the community together and putting Plymouth on the map by putting on another great pop concert."

Big Gig Update

Thousands of local people and holiday makers flocked to Pirate FM's star studded pop party, The Big Gig today. Plymouth Hoe came alive with the sound of chart favourites including Charlotte Church, Daniel Bedingfield, Bananarama, Liberty X, Mark Owen, Rowetta, Andy Scott Lee, Simon Webbe and Noise Next Door.

The live event, held in association with Proper Cornish Pasties was hosted by Pirate FM presenters including Bob McCreadie and Allen Fleckney.
