Living Coasts - Torquay's easy attraction.

Gentoo Penguins

Living Coasts is a unique new attraction in the heart of Torquay. It's easy to find, easy to get around and easy to enjoy.

Part of world-famous Paignton Zoo, Living Coasts features a range of fascinating coastal creatures from puffins and penguins to fur seals and wading birds. There are reconstructed beaches, cliff-faces and an estuary. A huge meshed aviary allows birds to fly free over the heads of visitors. Special acrylic tunnels give clear views of the birds and mammals underwater.

The gentoo and African penguins are free range, which means you can meet these amazing birds face to face as you walk around. Then there are the macaroni penguins, with their fancy yellow plumes. In all there are nearly 100 penguins at Living Coasts .
